How To Tag

What is a Tag

This may sound like dealing with graffiti, but it is really a way of categorizing information in a non-hierarchical way. The categorical way of thinking about information looks something like this. I can have files associated with my friend Bob and I can also have emails from my friend Bob. I can organize this data with a few directories. I can have one directory of files, with a subdirectory that I put all my files associated with Bob. I then would need another directory for emails and in that have subdirectory associated with emails from Bob. I can add subdirectories as I need them.

With Tags, I just label all the emails and files from Bob with the tag "Bob" and all emails I get from everyone with, "Email" and all the files with the tag, "File". The tags make it easy to search.

How to tag Pages

Go to the bottom of the page and click on the 'tags' tab. This will let you edit the existing tags and add other labels you may find appropriate. Feel free to add to the tags on any page. The idea of the tags is to make it easier for you to find information.
